Just in time for Halloween, Bucks County Playhouse’s popular production of Richard O’Brien’s “The Rocky Horror Show” makes its return to New Hope for a limited run beginning Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 30 with special late night showings. Bucks County Playhouse’s Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler look forward to thrilling audiences with the production that will be directed by Hunter Foster (BCP’s “Company” and “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story”) and choreographed by Lorin Latarro (BCP’s “Company” and currently represented on Broadway with “Waitress”).
“The Rocky Horror Show,” with book, music, and lyrics by Richard O’Brien, is a musical that inspired the 1975 classic cult film, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” It follows innocent couple Brad and Janet as they seek shelter at a mysterious old castle on a dark and stormy night, where they encounter transvestite Dr. Frank N Furter, his “perfect” creation Rocky, and an assortment of other crazy creatures.
“Bucks County Playhouse is thrilled to bring back ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ this Halloween,” says producer Stephen Kocis. “We took one year off presenting ‘Rocky’ but with patrons repeatedly calling our box office asking us to bring it back, we are happy to report that Hunter and Lorin have returned to direct their wonderfully weird, high-energy production. We have increased the number of seats in our Time Warp section so more audience members can participate dancing on stage. ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ has always been a great party show, and we look forward to welcoming ‘Rocky’ fans back for more appropriately wicked fun at the Playhouse.”
A cast of Broadway performers includes Kevin Cahoon (Broadway’s “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “The Wedding Singer”) as Dr. Frank-n-Furter, Nick Adams (Broadway’s “Priscilla Queen of the Dessert,” “La Cage aux Folles”) as Rocky, Maximilian Sangerman (BCP’s “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story”) as Brad, Stephanie Gibson (Broadway’s “Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella”) as Janet, William Youmans (Broadway’s “Wicked,” “Bright Star” and “Billy Elliot”) as Narrator/Eddie/Dr. Scott Ryah, Nixon as Magenta (BCP’s “The Rocky Horror” and Broadway’s “9 to 5”), Katie Anderson as Columbia, and Danielle Diniz (National Tour of “Dirty Dancing”) and Tyler McKenzie (Broadway’s “Mama Mia!”) as Phantoms.
The creative team includes David L. Arsnault and Wilson Chin (Scenic Design), Nicole V. Moody (Costume Design), Travis McHale (Lighting Design), Bart Fasbender (Sound Design). Musical Director is Will Shuler.
“The Rocky Horror Show” will play the following schedule: October 21 at 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; October 22 at 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; October 23 at 3:00 p.m.; October 25 at 7:30 p.m.; October 26 at 7:30 p.m.; October 27 at 7:30 p.m.; October 28 at 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; October 29 at 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; and October 30 at 3:00 p.m.

Time Warp seats give ‘Rocky’ fans the ultimate experience, including front orchestra seating, a BCP prop bag and an invitation to come up on stage and dance the Time Warp with the cast.
