“Spring Idyll”


Artist’s Statement: This painting, (Spring Idyll) describes a series of moments which could have taken place in that very place 100years ago in May of 1918.

Mark Pullen Bio

Mark Pullen b.1965 Raised in the New Hope School area of the Delaware valley his inevitable influence was a fusion of The New Hope School both living and dead having worked with Ben Badura and Floyd Torbert and studied very closely Anthony Michael Auturinos paintings with him his course was set for impressionism.
Combined with his earlier influences ,Mark also studied in Provincetown and was also greatly inspired by Henry Hensches ‘ Color theory as well as Emile Gruppe and Charles Movalli of Cape Ann.
The poetry is in the design as Leith -Ross said and color and light say the rest.
