Originally from Hamilton, David Rago grew up around the Lambertville area where he started his passion at the Lambertville Flea Market in 1972, as an artist colony with liberal sensibility.
Ragho Auction House is involved in the Chamber of Commerce because we believe in the chamber and we support local businesses. Change the way they approach business – work more with more towns.
We’re primarily a design auction – there is no charge to come in here. This is world-class design right in front of them. Museum quality finds. It’s a really great resource. The collection of Nakashima we had in our last sale was better than any other. We have relationships with these top experts and artists – locals enjoy the fact that we sell for them, not necessarily to them. Major design sale every four months – next one is in September. Walk in appraisal days periodically – those dates are posted on the website.
Rago is a leading U.S. auction house with over $33 million in annual sales. We serve thousands of sellers and buyers internationally with a singular blend of global reach and personal service. A world-class venue through which to buy and sell, we hold auctions and sell privately. Additionally, we exhibit and lecture in-house and online for a variety of causes including charity auctions, continuing education courses, estate planning councils, and more. Rago is based in Lambertville, NJ, conveniently situated midway between Manhattan and Philadelphia with a satellite office in Westchester, CT.
We are members, two members of our staff (Eliane Talec and Samuel Grillo) are on the board, we are actively involved in promoting chamber events and will be hosting the June B2B event at our 333 N Main St. Auction House. Eliane our CAO, serves as guest auctioneer for chamber fundraising events, including last year's Zombie Crawl.
Members since 1992 because we truly believe that the best and most robust local economy is one that supports, champions, and brings the best out of each and every business - and the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce does just that.
