Medicinal Herb Farm in New Hope, PA

Decadence-March
Locust Light Farm is a unique new type of farm in New Hope. We grow about 70 varieties of medicinal herbs and use those herbs to make products such as tea blends, herbal extracts, massage oils, salves, and more. We sell our products online, at local markets, and through an herbal CSA.
Small-scale herbs farms are rare, but they’re beginning to pop up on the east coast. Amanda Midkiff, the head farmer at Locust Light, had been an organic vegetable farmer in the area. As she began to study herbalism, she realized that there wasn’t a source for locally-grown herbs, and wanted to provide that for her community. The CSA program at Locust Light helps to educate customers about how to use the herbal products to support their wellness in their daily lives. The farm is periodically open for volunteers and hopes to begin to hold herbalism and herb growing workshops this season.
