Audiences may enjoy listening to a capella harmony, Bobby Gualtieri said, but those who sing it seem to get the most from it, “You have to experience the joy of singing with others, when your voice combines with those other voices, the voices of your friends. It’s exhilarating.”
In an effort to help men experience the joy of singing harmony, the Bucks County Country Gentlemen chapter is providing a series of free singing lessons. The non-profit organization is focused on bringing  joy and song to the community.
The “Ready, Set, Sing” program will be offered at 7 p.m. Tuesdays from February 21, 2017 through March 21, 2017 at the Lenape Middle School in Doylestown PA (313 W State St, Doylestown, PA 18901). Each session will be less than 2 hours. There is no cost for the lessons or materials, and no requirement or suggestion of membership.
“Many folks sing in the car or shower and don’t think they can do so with others,” Gualtieri said. ”It’s partly because things sound differently in your head than they do in the air. We’re going to help you learn to sing or to sing better with others, and to get the most out of your voice.”
There is no requirement to read music. Every age is welcome from teens to seniors. “You can be 15, 55, or 85,” commented Stephanie Brictson, the Master Director of the Bucks County Country Gentlemen and Jersey Sound choruses, who will lead the “Ready, Set, Sing” program.
The chapter performs across throughout the Bucks County region and invites anyone within driving distance to participate. Although no sign up is required, the group prefers that participants either call or email (David Mindel, 215-300-0202, or go to
