The Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce hosts the Annual Art and Antiques Weekend in October. Visitors will enjoy shopping the rich offering of art and antiques in The Delaware River Towns.

The Delaware River Towns Chamber office at 77 Bridge Street in Lambertville is the gateway to the event. A listing of the participating venues will be provided and flags will be displayed outside each of those venues.

Many stores will feature special sales, offers, and merchandise featured expressly for the weekend event. Since hospitality is a hallmark of The River Towns, many will also feature refreshments, from cider to wine, cookies to cheese.

In addition to the shopping, there will be live music performances, live art shows with artists painting and creating in the windows of the galleries and shops, performance art, floral art, and much, much more. The weekend also coincides with Lambertville’s Historical Society Autumn House Tour, which gives visitors the rare opportunity to visit some of the finest private homes in the area.

(in)animate is a group exhibition with artists whose work repurposes organic materials. The fragility of insect wings, the durability of fossils and rocks, the strangeness of bones and feathers create conditions for art that can be dislocating, arresting, beautiful, and illuminating. In pondering what animates nature and what is missing in its absence, viewers may be invited to consider their own cycles of transience and transformation.

The exhibition will also invite visitors to engage in a creative process of their own in a separate space inspired by the Rhode Island School of Design’s Nature Lab, a collection of natural history artifacts.

Event: The evening of Saturday October 14 at 8pm we will host a film Screening of Keep the Change with Director Rachel Israel. The film is about a man and a woman who live in a group home for adults with autism who form a close bond.
