On your mark, get set, go! The scenic 9.33 mile footrace will take place along the beautiful, flat Delaware Canal on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 5pm at the Washington Crossing Historic Park.
The course runs back along the historic Delaware Canal State Park towpath trail from Washington Crossing Historic Park north through New Hope, Pennsylvania, turning around the Virginia Forrest area, returning to Washington Crossing Historic Park. The first and last .5 miles are on paved surface. There will be signs at each mile mark.
Built in 1832, the tow path is narrow in some sections, requiring single file travel. The towpath has several camelback bridge underpasses with low clearance. Taller people may feel the need to duck under a few of them.

Ramp up your fall marathon training with this early test or just race a distance not often contested. Register here. Admission is $55. This is a rain or shine event. In the event or rain, canal towpath may be muddy.
Overall awards will be given to top three men and women and top three in age groups by gender. Age groups are subject to change dependent on pre-registration. Plus, the event promises to add some Olympic-inspired Brazilian flair this time around.
