USA Today Lists Lambertville as Most Picturesque City in New Jersey

This is by Stephen Harris, co-owner of the 26bridge studio & Gallery.

USA Today recently listed the most picturesque locations in each state, and the quaint city of Lambertville took top honors in New Jersey.

Local photographer Stephen Harris commented, “Founded on the banks of the Delaware River in 1705, Lambertville, New Jersey is a haven for artists and craftsmen, and is know as “The Antiques Capital of New Jersey.”

Here is an excerpt from my recently released book, “Delaware River Reflections,” in bookstores now: “This beautiful little community of artists, shops, and restaurants would be a welcome stop on anyone’s tour of the Delaware River. Take in one of the many galleries in the downtown area and then dine overlooking the tranquil canal before strolling along the canal’s banks in the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park.

“This small city displays typical early American architecture, featuring Victorian-style homes and federal townhouses. Restaurants and antique shops attract visitors from a wide area. The city was named for John Lambert, a resident who had been a US senator and acting governor of New Jersey.”
